Go Fast Bits (GFB) is a premier manufacturer of high-performance turbo and drivetrain components, delivering cutting-edge solutions for enthusiasts seeking more power, control, and reliability. Specializing in blow-off valves, wastegates, boost controllers, and short-shifters, GFB products are engineered for maximum performance and responsiveness. Proudly designed and manufactured in Australia, GFB combines precision machining with innovative technology to create parts that enhance turbocharged and high-performance vehicles. Whether on the street or track, Go Fast Bits provides the power and efficiency needed to push performance to the next level.
The FA24 engine in the 2022+ WRX now uses an electronically controlled factory diverter in place of the pneumatic bypass valve found on all previous turbo Subaru engines. This is controlled by the ECU, and whilst it sounds like an advancement in technology, in some ways it is a step backwards. It may react to throttle closures faster than a pneumatic valve, but longevity and boost sealing is an issue with these types of valve because their valve mechanism is made entirely of moulded plastic. Importantly though, the factory electronic valve cannot open and close progressively - it's either open or shut, resulting in less than optimum throttle response and drivability. The DV+ design solves all the shortcomings of the factory electronic diverter valve, replacing the plastic valve assembly with precision CNC machined metal components, and also changes the operation method so it can open and close progressively wilst retaining electronic control. This ensures ultimate boost holding and durability, and the best possible throttle response.
